Consumer research will often fall into a cheaper bracket than B2B research purely due to the costs of obtaining the information. When conducting consumer or market research you have a very large audience to use that is easily accessible. If, however you are looking to target a specific B2B audience then it will be far more laborious to approach a specific niche. This therefore accounts for its price being more.

This is something key to take into account when reviewing research budgeting, as if you are a Business that is looking to gain knowledge about a B2B topic, then you will be paying slightly more than a retailer surveying the wider general public.
